01 - 4 slices sourdough bread
02 - 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
→ Fruits & Greens
04 - 2 tbsp fig preserves
05 - 1 cup fresh arugula (30 g)
→ Optional
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
# Directions:
01 - Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each sourdough slice.
02 - Place two slices butter-side down on a clean surface. Spread 1 tablespoon fig preserves on each.
03 - Layer sliced Brie over the preserves, followed by a generous handful of fresh arugula.
04 - Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side facing up.
05 - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
06 - Place sandwiches in skillet and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until bread is golden and cheese melts.
07 - Remove from heat, let rest for 1 minute. Slice and serve, topping with freshly ground black pepper if desired.
