I first made these bee sandwiches for my childs birthday party and they were an instant hit with both kids and adults alike

Ingredients

  • Sandwiches: 12 slices soft sandwich bread (white or whole wheat), 6 tablespoons cream cheese or hummus, 2 tablespoons honey (optional for sweet version), 1 small cucumber thinly sliced, 1 small carrot thinly sliced, 12 black olives pitted (for bee stripes and eyes), 12 chive stems (for antennae)
  • Board Assembly: 1 cup cherry tomatoes, 1 cup baby carrots, 1 cup grapes (green and red), 1 cup strawberries halved, 1 cup mini pretzels, 1/2 cup cubed cheese (optional), Fresh herbs for garnish (mint basil)

Instructions

Step 1:
Using a bee-shaped or oval cookie cutter cut bee shapes from the sandwich bread slices
Step 2:
