I created this butter board dessert after seeing the savory versions online & it quickly became a hit at our family brunches. It is so simple yet everyone loves adding their favorite berries and sweet extras.

Ingredients

  • Flavoured Cream Cheese: 250 g (8 oz) cream cheese (softened), 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla extract, zest of 1 small lemon (optional)
  • Toppings: 150 g (1 cup) mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries), 2 tbsp chopped toasted pistachios or almonds, 1 tbsp dried edible rose petals (optional), 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips or shavings, 2 tbsp granola (optional), 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves (torn)
  • To Serve: 1 French baguette or loaf of brioche (sliced and lightly toasted), extra honey or maple syrup (for drizzling)
